YMG Junior Masters in full swing
Dateline: August 2005
The YMG Masters 2005 tournaments are
in full swing as junior competitiors from all over the
UK and Ireland battle it out to see who will be the
YMG Junior Masters Champions.
The series of tournaments kicked off on 31 July at The
Hermitage Golf Club in Scotland and will eventually
cover the whole of the country, via events is Derbyshire,
Hampshire, South Wales, Essex, Hertfordshire, Yorkshire,
Northern Ireland, Dublin, Kent and Oxfordshire, with
the final event scheduled for Wigan in Lancashire on
21 August.
Hectic Schedule...
"It's a hectic schedule," confirmed Tournament Director
Dave Gosling, "but we are deteremined to give as many
youngsters as possible who want to compete the chance
to take part in the YMG Masters."
Already over 1,400 entries have been received, with
winning boy and girl in each of the five age categories
at each event progressing to the National Final at the
prestigious Celtic Manor Resort on Sunday 2 October.
At that event, the top 20 girls and boys will then graduate
to the Grand Final, held over three days at the superb
La Manga Club in Spain in November where the ultimate
YMG Masters Boy and Girl Champions will be crowned.
