Harriet hailed a hole-in-one heroine
Dateline: April 2006
Ten-year old YMG golfer Harriet Wilson
has acheived that most precious of golfing achievements
- a hole-in-one!
Harriet, who was also part of the YMG International
Junior Pairs winning Millfield team in 2005, achieved
the ace at her home club's Easter Sunday Junior Medal.
She is pictured (right) celebrating her ace with a playing
partner. The single shot eagle came at the 134 yard
fourth hole at Millfield.
Something special
"I'm so pleased," said Harriet. "It was a brilliant
feeling getting a hole-in-one and everyone tells me
its something special.
She continued: "My Dad says he has been playing golf
for 30 years and he's never had a hole-in-one, so he
thinks it is something really special."
Harriot attributes her growing golfing success to her
YMG PGA Professional coach at Millfield Golf Club, Brian
Cummings, who has helped her develop into a fine golfer.
Congratulations to Harriet and keep up the excellent
golf!
