Huge success for Hanover
Youngsters at the Hanover Golf & Country
Club in Rayleigh, Essex have been celebrating another
fantastic year of success for the ever growing junior
section.
More than 45 of the youngsters gathered together at
the start of Setptember to receive their latest YMG
certificates, with three members receiving congratulations
for completing their Masters level. Dan Price, Alex
Todd and Alex Garrett have all made it past the Masters
level and will now be able to consider moving on to
the soon to be introduced Masters Plus levels, schduled
for launch in the next few weeks.
Summer holiday competitions
Meanwhile, it's been quite a year for the Hanover club
YMG juniors. Many took advantage of the school summer
holiday competitions at the club, while the club even
held its first junior open, which proved a great success,
thanks to the efforts of Junior Organiser Kim Harrold
and the club's Professional coaching team. Many youngsters
also entered the Regional leg of the YMG Junior Masters
tournament and gave an excellent account of themselves.
Great year for junior section
"It's been a great year for the junior section," confirmed
Pro Ryan Parfett. "Young Masters Golf has received a
terrific reception here and recently we passed the milestone
of running our 200th YMG level. Kim Harrold is doing
a brilliant job and the Junior section is really thriving
and following the success of the regular summer competitions
we intend to expand our junior competition schedule
in the future to ensure that our rapidly improving juniors
have plenty of events to play in to keep them on top
form.
