Golf is a great sport for kids of all ages - healthy, sociable and great for helping to build confidence and self-esteem.

What other sport can boast that a 6 year-old can compete along side an 86 year-old? In golf they can. How many other sports can honestly say that mum, dad, grandparents and kids can all play together too?

That's why golf is so appealing to families and especially to kids.

In an age where we are constantly being told our kids aren't active enough, golf is an outside, sociable sport that can be enjoyed by every youngster.

What's more, they’ll make lots of new friends and will have a great time playing a great sport in wonderful surroundings. And the great thing about golf is that once you start playing it is a game that can be enjoyed for your entire life.

Golf these days is also 'cool'. Gone are the days when it was seen as a stuffy sport for old men. Tiger Woods and Michelle Wie have a worldwide profile and the game is now enjoyed by many of youngsters' favourite celebrities and sporting heroes, including the likes of Justin Timberlake, Michael Owen, David Beckham, Catherine Zeta Jones, Michael Jordan, Robbie Williams, Sir Steve Redgrave, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly and many others all enjoy hitting the links.
